Pilli: DIY Medication Management for Caregivers
Existing medication management systems are often expensive, clunky, and lack a personal touch. Keeping track of a loved one's medication adherence can be challenging, leading to concerns and worries for caregivers. Pilli is an open-source smart pill box that fosters personalization in medication management.
Meet Mary
Mary is a 90 year old woman who needs support in remembering to take her medication. Before Pilli, her caregivers would need to check her pill box whenever they came home to confirm she took her am/pm dose.
The need for a more efficient communication method regarding pill status became apparent. The Pilli box simplifies this process, ensuring timely updates even when physical presence is not possible.
Process
This project involved product design, circuit design, coding, and problem-solving. It reflects my commitment to designs that address real-life challenges and enhance the well-being of individuals and their caregivers.
